Explosives World 2008

Explosives World is a series of seminars and associated exhibitions covering all aspects of life within the explosives and homeland security industries.

The event for 2008 consists of a three-day conference with speakers from the many diverse branches of the explosives industry including the services, de-mining, academic and commercial agencies. They work in the fields of counter terrorism, EOD, IEDD, education, research and development and cleaning up old and current war-zones and battlefields. Running alongside the conference is an exhibition featuring products from manufacturers and suppliers offering all equipment related to the industry including test range services, detection equipment, personnel protection and other relevant end user provisions.
The next Explosives World Seminar and Exhibition, ExW 2008, will take place at Imperial College London, Kensington, London on the dates of Monday 7th April to Wednesday 9th April 2008.
It is planned that ExW 2008 will feature these main headings:
Life after EOD - With many EOD related activities being undertaken by commercial companies, understanding the possibilities of future employment is essential.
Counter IED Events - Experiences from the field.
Blast Mitigation - Design and modification of systems inbuilding and structure protection. Personnel and personal protection.
Counter Terrorism and Homeland Security - Reviews of events and changes in methodology.
Emerging Technologies - Explosives Tools, Detection Equipment and other developments for inclusion in the toolbox.
It is also planned to provide an Employment and Qualification Seminar on Tuesday 8th April. We are inviting commercial and NGO organisations to present short briefings on their activities and personnel requirements also information on qualifications required for further employment.
We are pleased to receive topical papers for consideration.
